Bendable Branches are only useful as a crafting material, but they are very useful survival tools for getting your feet on the ground. Because they can be crafted into fishing rods, they are useful for steady food supplies via fishing, and because they can be crafted into two teirs of bows they are useful materials for creating weapons well into the game.
