Crystal ore is a mineral deposit (just like Iron Ore) and can be mined for Crystal. It looks like a piece of rock with crystal chunks sticking out of it. Hitting it gives a chance of dropping a Crystal,Pebbles or a Stone. Hitting it with a Hammer or a Pickaxe increases the chance of droppingCrystal. As every mineral deposit, Crystal Ore can be exhausted, and when this happens the rock will be destroyed.
