? The Native NPC is first encountered in Story Mode on island 4. He takes the appearance of a dark, muscular man with rather large eyeballs and a grass loin cloth. You eventually encounter a village full of Natives that have various quests for you. You must talk to the chief to advance the story. They can be encountered occasionally in survival mode and have 2 trade options. The first one allows you to trade various herbs for potions. The second one allows you to trade loaves of bread for common items. The Native can also allow you to look at a map of the island, but will refuse to give it to you. It is notable that Natives are drug addicts and will sometimes trade for Joints.
